Well, according to tabloid The Mean Girls actress was "comfortable" shedding her clothes to recreate the famous Last Sitting shots of Marilyn, taken by photographer Bert Stern just six weeks before she died of a drugs overdose.
Lindsay said: "I didn't have to put much thought into it. Working with Bert Stern on a Marilyn Monroe shoot was really an honour. When is that ever going to come up again?
"I wanted to portray the look and get it point-on as much as I could, to bring it back to life. I was comfortable with it, the nudity and everything."

In the shots, Lindsay wears a peroxide blonde wig and winged eyeliner, and is seen posing with a series of see-through chiffon scarves, a diamond necklace and sprawled naked on a bed.
The 21-year-old actress - who confessed she panicked and did 250 stomach crunches the night before the shoot in a bid to get her stomach as flat as possible - revealed she has always been a big fan of the iconic star.
