Pulau Pinang

During Chinese New Year i decide to make last minute trip to Pulau Pinang.
From Kuala Lumpur travel up to North took me about 4 1/2 hour to reach the island.

I never experience celebrating Chinese New Year in Pinang Island itself but i do hear lots of comments
"Is a must to travel up to Penang island to experience the greatest celebration at Chew Jetty especially during the prayer of the Jade Emperor on 8th days of CNY

Feel like very welcome when i notice i sharing the same surname in chinese  pronounce "Choa"
Apparently- Chew/Chow/Choa/Cho - are the same surname in chinese

Apparently Chew Jetty is a small clan community living at the shore and make living as fisherman.

these picture were taken at one of the homestay

Wow, when look at the table they display almost all kind of food especially seafood for the prayer for the Jade Emporor "Tiang Gong"

When almost midnight the whole street was filled with more people more fire cracker more celebration !
